It's May and all over the world, Our Blessed Mother is honored in a special way. Here at OLG 8th graders Cayden Belizario and Eleanor Hollis crowned a statue of Our Lady of Grace on Friday, May 12. This honor was rendered as part of the school's first "May Concert in Honor of all of our Moms" and the students shone as they sang songs that honor the Mother of Jesus.
A student from each grade also read a composition (essay or poem) honoring his or her mom. These were part of a writing assignment in each grade and the piece selected was to be "among the best in the class."
Thank you to all who attended what is it hoped will become an annual tradition.
