After an absence of several years, OLG school was once again celebrated at the San Leandro Cherry Festival Parade. Thanks to the efforts of the school's Office Manager, Mrs. Castaign, First grade teacher, Miss Castaign, and School Board President James Hannon along with several school families, the school's banner was proudly carried in the parade.
This type of exposure has very much been missing in recent years, and the participants noted how impressive San Leandro's Assumption Catholic School's presence was in the parade. "They have half the school here" were Mrs. Castaign's exact words.
It is hoped that our school parents will increasingly join in these types of efforts so that word will spread that there are seats to be filled in Castro Valley's only Catholic School.
Well done, Mrs. Castaign, your efforts are sure to pay off.
