Bright and early on Wednesday, August 14, the school yard once again was humming with parents and students eager to begin a new school year (well the parents were!). Father Raphael opened the year with prayer and sprinkled the community with holy water. He tied this year's academic journey to our core values of "Unity, Truth and Love" and stressed that all learning as well as any and all school activities need to be rooted in those values, the values of Our Lord, Jesus Christ and his mother, the most Blessed Virgin Mary.
Dr. McGowan welcomed the community and reminded all parents to plan on coming back for our first every "All parent mixer" this coming Friday, August 16, from 5:30-7:30 in the school courtyard. A light supper of tacos will be served and at 6:45 p.m. Father Raphael and Dr. McGowan will open a program meant to introduce the school leadership to the larger community as well as speak about the many ways to become involved, especially as part of our fall festival.
May Our Lady of Grace protect the entire community during the year ahead.
