Baptism of the Lord

On the 16th Day of Christmas, Friday, January 10,  the students in Grade Eight led the Friday prayer service anticipating the feast of the Baptism of the Lord this coming Sunday. They reminded their schoolmates that Jesus Himself was baptized by his cousin, John the Baptist and so shares with us in this important initiation.

The school community was led in a reflection of the importance of our shared Baptism and given examples of how to live better lives in imitation of Jesus.

Lastly, the school community was presented with bowls of blessed water and invited to make the sign of the cross as a reminder of each person's individual Baptism.

Since the Christmas season ends at sundown tomorrow, the school enjoyed the community Christmas Tree for the very last time until Christmas, 2026.
