On Friday, March 28 the entire school came together for our first annual "Color Run." This event replaced the ever popular "Fun Run" and added the thrill of dousing the participants in colored powder as they ran by.
Kudos to the Our Lady of Grace Parent-Teacher Group for their organization. The school thanks Mrs. Monique Williams for procuring all of the swag at no cost to the school as well as Mrs. Dawn Leo, Mrs. Kristin Quintero and Mrs. Yvette Haro for all of the work that went into building the on-line platform that permitted each participant to collect pledges to support their participation and for organizing and executing the event. On "the day" there were numerous parents on hand to ensure that all proceeded smoothly.
The run was followed by an "in-school" dine out of hot dogs and chips and the entire parking lot was swept up by energetic parent volunteers.
Awards were handed out on April 11 to the students with the highest amount raised with Mattea Branco winning top prize for the entire school. First Grade teacher Ms. Castaign was the lucky winner of the raffle prize for staff participation.
A great time was had by all and we look forward to next year's Color Run! Many thanks to our supporters.
